FFmpeg -- used by the Raylux Nexus camera relay ================================================ Raylux Nexus uses the FFmpeg libraries libavformat, libavcodec and libavutil from the FFmpeg project, https://ffmpeg.org, to read RTSP camera streams. License ------- These libraries are licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 2.1 or (at your option) any later version. The full text of the LGPL is in the file ffmpeg.txt in this licenses folder (the copyright file of the vcpkg ffmpeg package) and at https://www.gnu.org/licenses/lgpl-2.1.html. How Raylux uses them -------------------- * Built WITHOUT --enable-gpl, --enable-nonfree and --enable-version3, and WITHOUT x264, x265 or any other GPL-only or non-redistributable component. Built --disable-everything, with only the tcp, udp, rtp and http protocols and the rtsp, sdp and rtp demuxers: no decoders, encoders, parsers, muxers, filters or other FFmpeg libraries. The build configuration is stored inside the libraries; Nexus checks it at start-up and refuses to run the relay if it reports GPL or nonfree, and logs "[CameraRelay] ready: FFmpeg avformat (LGPL ...)". * Dynamically linked. The libraries are installed as separate files beside the Nexus executable: Windows: avformat-*.dll, avcodec-*.dll, avutil-*.dll Linux: /opt/raylux/lib/libavformat.so.*, libavcodec.so.*, libavutil.so.* * Video is passed through to the browser as received (packets are copied, not decoded or re-encoded). Camera snapshots are fetched from the camera's own snapshot address. Your rights ----------- You may replace these libraries with your own build of FFmpeg that keeps the same library interface (soname / DLL version), and you may reverse engineer Nexus to the extent necessary to debug such a replacement. Replacing them voids support for that Nexus instance (EULA section 8.2); it does not limit your rights under the LGPL. Source code ----------- The complete corresponding source of the FFmpeg version shipped, the build options used (the vcpkg "ffmpeg" port with features avcodec and avformat), and the information needed to rebuild and relink are available as described in EULA section 8.4: https://rayluxscada.com/source, or by written request to the address given there. Raylux has not modified FFmpeg's source. FFmpeg is a trademark of Fabrice Bellard, originator of the FFmpeg project.
